THE STORY
In 2022, a filmmaker set out to uncover the root of polarization to the closest descendant to “Man’s Best Friend,” the wolf – and why there’s so much stigma attached to a single species. Which begs the question… To Save or Kill the Big Bad Wolf?
When people think about wolves they often think about fairytales or the success of Yellowstone. What they don’t think about are some often overlooked Mexican Wolves and Red Wolves which each had reintroductions of their own. People in the city may not know there’s a tug of war when it comes to protecting and “managing” the wolf populations in America.
Politics, science, economics, and culture clash over the closest relative to our dog. Why?
This isn’t a typical wolf documentary showcasing stunning footage in the wild following their day to day life within a pack, no, this is a groundbreaking documentary unlike any before that promises to educate, entertain, and enlighten the world on where wolves stand today in America and where they may be in the near future.
MEET THE FILMMAKER
Evan Morton got his start in documentary filmmaking working both behind the camera and in post production on National Geographic’s hit series, “Life Below Zero.” Growing up he had a fascination with movies and questions which drew him to make a documentary of his own. In 2022 Evan started Blind View Productions and put his entire savings into filming “War on Wolves,” aiming to shed light on the plight of the wolf and the challenges they face in the modern world with vital industries impacted by their presence.
